FAQ’s

Where will I attend the practical training?

The practical training day will be held at A-List Beauty Salon in Wirral, North West UK. The full address will be given upon booking due to being a home salon.

How is this course delivered?

Once you have purchased your training, you will receive access to your Theory and be able to get started with studying within 24 working hours. It’s very important the theory is studied in depth before your practical training day.

Upon completion of your Theory, you will be invited to attend a practical training session which is delivered on a one-to-one basis over 1 day.

Students will then be required to carry out Hollywood waxing on each other and at least 1 other model to ensure competence.

When will the practical training run?

All upcoming dates can be found on the enrolment page (link below). Additional dates and courses will be considered (including the bringing forward of certain dates) pending sufficient demand. The practical training day will run from 10am-4pm approx.

How does the payment plan work?

Here at A-List Academy, we want to help as many people as possible! Therefore, you can spread the cost of your training up to 12 months to suit your specific requirements. This enables you to complete your training and start earning straight away to help you pay for your investment. Just select “Payitmonthly” at checkout to apply for the payment plan. Your monthly instalments are completely interest free, and you can find more information about PIM here. Please note that there is a 10% discount applied if you pay in full instead of via a payitmonthly payment plan.

If you are not accepted for Payitmonthly, you are also able to pay in instalments of £100 or more with ourselves, and then train once payment is completed.

Is this course suitable for absolute beginners?

Yes! This course is suitable for everyone – from complete beginners to fully qualified Beauty Therapists looking to refresh and update their skills.

What qualification will I receive?

You will receive an accredited certification in the A-List Beauty Method for Hollywood/ Brazilian Waxing which is an industry-recognised qualification and is equivalent to a Level 3 course. This course is accredited by ABT and BABTAC, which are the leading providers in the Beauty industry.

How much support am I going to get?

If there is anything in your theory you don’t understand or need help with, just let me know before your practical session. I’ll help you as best as I can, but you must tell me.

The practical training is delivered on a one-to-one basis, so you have my undivided attention and support the whole time.

What support do I get after my training?

I am proud to be one of the only waxing training academies that provides ongoing support after your training. I believe it is so important that students receive support because I know that training in something new is a learning curve. You can contact me for support any time after your course.

You will also be invited to join our community of other beauty professionals in our exclusive A-List Academy Facebook group where we will continue to support each other and work through our journeys together.

Will I receive an automatic PASS?

My standards are high and my course complies with the National Occupational Standards so you do need to meet certain criteria in order to pass this course. All of this will be discussed before your assessment. I will of course make exceptions for nerves, but your technique does need to be right and I want to give you as best value for your money as possible, so if I don’t feel you are ready yet, don’t worry, I will send you away to practice and invite you back at a later date.

How long will I have access to the online training materials and resources?

Once you complete your course you will have lifetime access to the course (as long as the course is available for sale).

What if I don’t get any clients?

We provide full social media training as well as marketing and advertising tips and techniques to help you get started. This will help you build your client base from the moment you leave our training. You must be committed and consistent with your marketing to make your new career work – Rome wasn’t built in a day!

Our Facebook group is also a great way to interact and gain tips from other graduates, trainers and professionals and we can provide free marketing for you by sharing your work on our social media also (please tag us). I also have an online programme A-List Accelerator (additional programme) should you want further support with social media training and becoming fully booked.

Will I need to provide a model on the day of my course?

Students you will be expected to wax each other on the day of the practical, but if you have had laser or can’t be waxed due to a medical condition, you will need to provide your own model, they will only be needed for an hour or so, just be sure to let me know when you book.
